In 1993, the Briton was one of the sixteen best players who separated from the British Darts Organization, creating their own organization - Professional Darts Corporation. In total, Bristow has won over 70 tournaments in his career. In the 80s, Brist's outstanding skills and interesting personality helped change the perception of darts, which has since become world-class. There were also fans who willingly followed the competition of the players. Eric Bristow quit playing dart in 2007 to start working as a television expert.

In recent days, the world of dart has been shaken by information about the death of a five-time world champion and one of the greatest legends of this sport. Eric Bristow died suddenly on April 5. at a competition in Liverpool at the age of 60. It happened in the Echo Arena, where the darts - Premier League took place at that time. Bristow, despite the end of his sports career in 2007, appeared regularly at such events as the guest of honor. According to the media, Eric Bristow at some point lost consciousness and fell. Unfortunately, it was not possible to save him, a widespread heart attack was found. After this tragic event, many people from the dart community admitted that Bristow was a distinctive figure and largely contributed to the popularity of this sport. Everyone agrees that he was the greatest legend of darts.
